The reality is that our bodies need 1.0gram/kilogram. Hence, if you weigh 70kg, you will need 70 grams of protein in a day.

That means if you eat 1 cup of lentils some tempeh and brown rice, you will get over 50 grams of protein.

If you actually calculated this, you would be surprised just how much you actually have without realising it.

Out of all the amazing places we can get protein, here are some of the best ones.

Pseudo-grains = 10 grams of protein

These are actually seeds and have to be cooked so that they are nice and fluffy. THey are gluten free and full of protein. The most common forms of Pseudo-grains are millet, quinoa and amaranth.

Tempeh = 41 grams of protein.

This is the highest form of protein that our bodies can absorb and is amazing for us. You can often find natural, organic tempeh that is not that processed and is really great for you.

Seitan = 18 grams of protein

This is made from gluten, or the protein of wheat. In most cases it has a they and dense texture and is often used to make mock meat. They are amazing in stir-frys, casseroles or tacos.

As Vegan's, this is actually one of the easiest aspects of our diet, to much disbelief from the wider public. If you lead a healthy, balanced Vegan diet, you will find that you have increased energy and are much healthier.
