At the start of this month, the beautiful county of Greece adopted the compassionate measure of banning circuses. This benevolent law has been implemented due to increased pressure from animal groups petition the government.

Animal Defenders International and Greek Animal Welfare Fund have been the main drivers behind enforcing this ban on the out-dated and cruel form of entreatment. However, it was also amazing to see that over 50 other local animal-protection agencies voiced their support.

Just because you see our beautiful animal friends performing on stage, doesn't mean the willing volunteer.

Humanity has some how conceited this as a form of entrainment, and our beneolvant animal friends are the ones that have to needless suffer.

The reality is, for the circus operators to make our beautiful animal friends perform they torte and punish them. Varying forms of pain is inflicted using varying forms of tricks, whips, electric collars, muzzles, electric pods and billhooks.

These companies easily get away with this because there are no laws governing circus operators.
It must also be noted that our loving animal friends are not transported in a comfortable manner. They are confined to boxes, trailers or trucks for days on end. They are exhausted, extremely hot or cold and are forced to urinate or dispel other fluids on each other. It is so sad to see our amazing animal friends that bring so much love and joy into our hearts treated this way.

The Vegan Era team are so uplifted to see a country such as beautiful Greece adopting and enforcing these laws to protect animals. We pray that all animals are treated as equal to humans and we all live in a Peaceful, benevolent Earth.
