Loving Hut in Brisbane was the first one to open in Australia and is located on Logan Road in Mt Gravatt. Their extensive menu offers something for everyone and is very reasonably priced. They offer a great mix of western and asian-influenced dishes using a selection of mock meats as well as light raw options. The handmade dumplings are the best we've ever tasted and are a delicious snack.

Situated near Chinatown in Fortitude Valley, Tea Master is a vegetarian Taiwanese restaurant that is probably about 90% vegan. There is a variety of mock meat dishes, hot pots to share and some delicious simple dishes. The Vegan Era CREW love the Tea Master noodles which is about $7 and always hits the spot - it's simply noodles with Asian greens and their special sauce. The deep fried mashed potato balls are amazing too. The Mt Oolong tea is beautiful here but they also have an extensive range of bubble teas. Tea Master is situated at Cathedral Place and they will validate your parking if you park in the undercover car park. They are only open until 6pm and are not open on a Sunday and only take cash.

The West End markets are held every Saturday from 6am until 1.30pm at Davies Park on Montague Road, West End. They sell a variety of fruit and vegetables, including 1 or 2 organic stalls; plant seedlings and herbs; a mixture of clothing, jewellery and yummy food. In particular, the YKillAMooCow stall sells vegetarian sausage rolls, pies and samosas. The vegan pumpkin and barley rolls are our pick, but the No Bull pies and samosas are awesome as well.
