What an amazing year, it has been and gone so fast that even Christmas feels like it will be gone quickly too.
It wasn't until I sat down and reflected that I didn't realise what was happening in the world. I had just finished speaking to two friends who work in cafe's and I couldn't believe my ears when I heard that they were open on
Christmas day. I was shocked - I think I may even stayed looking stunned into space wondering what has happened to this world.
This world can not even take one day out of the year to stop and reflect on a great spiritual teacher - give thanks for what we have and share our Love with the world.
This world actually cares more about money then for the great deeds of humanity.
I almost cried to think what will happen to our world. And the amazing thing was, that when these people spoke about it - they actually defended the business for doing it.
Is our world that course that we can't even give thanks over gaining money.
And yet, business all around the world will be open. They will not even think twice about it. Because it makes good business sense.
Christmas has always been a time for family and sharing it with those that you love. But at what expense - As I was discussing plans for this year, I said 'I will not be attending that event. I know there will be meat there. Not even one day out the year can you guys not serve meat. What is this? Can you sit there and honestly look me in the eyes and tell me that God would want you to harm one of his children on this special day?'
I get the same typical response, they look at me dumbfounded then try to make an excuse.
This is Christmas - let us all live like saints, and cherish what we have and spread love to all beings, especially our beautiful animal friends.
