Has the world just witnessed the biggest FLOP of all time. The Copenhagen climate talks resulted with....how to put this; well, pretty much...nothing.
With Factory Farming contributing to over 51% of Global Greenhouse Gas Emissions, the world was hoping that a binding law stopping this practice to help save our Home
be passed. It did not.
This is bad enough, but, the climate talks could not even pass binding legislation that reduces carbon output.
The only thing that really came out of all of this, was that if countries want to reduce their carbon output - they can. But the world will not agree upon this.
You thought this was bad - well, it get's worse. The developing world could not even come together; pool all their monies together to help countries being affected by climate change.
There was an intial target of US$300 Billiion needed to help the world. Developed nations could only scrap together US$100 Billion.
Not even close to the required figure.
This, is a lot more serious than what you may think. By the world leaders committing to stay on their current course, means the world will continue on it's current course. This is not a good sign.
You see, if the world takes the action to turn it's back on the current course - we can be saved. And as noted by Supreme Master Ching Hai; if the world turns to be veg the current course of the world can change in the matter of weeks.
Though, this action taken by world leaders is a clear message what they value more. This, is not good for the future of our Home.
We must promote being veg - it is the only way human's can be saved. Even if it is too late - at least people can be saved.
