Pammie is causing a Stir!!
Share    Well another fortnight has passed and so much to do!
Vegan Era My life is consumed with thinking of creative ways to help the animals of the world. In September a doctor friend is coming to Brisbane from New Zealand to present seminars at 2 locations about the effect our diet has on the planet and how going vegan is the healthiest idea for us and the planet. Her name is Dr Aaryn Tavakkoli and she has many letters after her name which means she is really really smart!! haha....So we have
2 venues and dates for our lovely Doctor Friend as follows:

Venue:
Loving Hut Mt Gravatt 1490 Logan Road Mt Gravatt (next door to Coffee Club), Queensland, Australia
Time and Date:Tuesday Evening 7th September 2010 at 6.30pm

Venue: Albion Peace Centre 102 McDonald Road (under Albion Overpass), Queensland, Australia
Time and Date: Wednesday Evening 8th September at 6.30pm

We are in the process of gathering data bases for schools, nursing homes, caterers and just basic households to demonstrate how to green up their kitchens and diets for our planet.

Billboards may be on the menu soon, but what to write on them?? I go over this in my head all the time..as I look at the marketing junk people try to imprint into our minds ....I dream of just a few words and an image that could change the consciousness and wake people up!

I thought...what about a huge photo of an animal with blood all around them, like a dramatic abattoir shot, and these words:
HELP!! Buy a Vegan Cookbook! I know this would not be appropriate as abboitors are conveniently dismissed and the cruelty put to the backseat of the mind.....however we cannot reveal to the children what we are feeding them so blatantly!!

Many were upset with Pamela Anderson this week, saying that she was "Selling Sex!!" after posing 'procatively' naming her limbs as a butcher would....however I saw her photo as a very clever marketing tool, as isn't that what our society is obsessed with?? Being sexy?? Pam is all that, and using it to bring the message to all the obsessed ones out there?? Hey...whatever works!! She is just doing her thing the best way she knows how!

A few other ideas on the horizon....as I am a children's entertainer with many shows, I have decided to really promote my "Kids Can Go Green Too" with some new promo material and a car magnet, so as I can get my message to the kids through storytelling and music...and the more I promote it the more I can tell children that meat is not good for the planet....in the sneakiest and funniest kind of way...children will always remember flatulence!! hehe

Anyway "Space", now that I have filled you, I must leave you with one new recipe that I have been enjoying of late:
It is simply a toasted sandwich! I went to china town this week and found some great vegan ham...so I threw it on a sandwich with some soy mayonnaise, tomato and vegan 'cheezly' that you can get from any health food store, my favourite is the "Green Edge" in Brisbane, wack it in the toaster with a bit of salt and pepper, and Bob's your uncle...I am not sure why Bob would be your uncle....but hey....a ham cheese and tomato toasted sandwich is the Aussie way...and now I can do it vegan style and it is great!!

Over and Out
