A High Raw Food diet is about being more alive physically, emotionally and spiritually. Learn to let go of thinking about what you should eat and eat what feels good for you. Here is a simple and balanced approach to raw food that empowers you to eat and live in a way that’s best
for you.

Why Raw?

  1. Energy – Raw is alive, alkalising and superior in vitamins & minerals
  2. Longevity – A detoxified body means energy for rejuvenation & renewal
  3. Immunity – In a pure body, no pathogen can survive. “The soil is everything, the germ is nothing”
  4. Beauty – Glowing skin, hair, healthy teeth, bright eyes & ideal weight
  5. Environmental & Ethical – Raw reduces your carbon footprint & harm to all animals.

Why not cooked?

  1. Overeating – causes weight problems and acidity
  2. Acid condition from grain and meat – causes inflammation & disease
  3. Toxemia – caused by the bodies toxic reaction to cooked foods
  4. Nutritional loss – over 80% nutrients lost in cooking
  5. Digestive upset – denatured (cooked) food is hard to digest & causes fermentation, gas, bloating and acid condition.

    What do I eat?
Aim for at least 80% raw to see and feel amazing results. Your calories will either come from fruit or fat. What works for you will depend on your metabolic type, your physical activities, your age, Ayurvedic constitution and the seasons. The 80/10/10 rule (Dr Doug Graham) states that your daily diet should roughly consist of 80% fruit, 10% protein, 10% fat. Dr Gabriel Cousen’s (Rainbow Green Live Cuisine) has a different approach where more fat and raw starches are used for optimum health. Everyone is different and has unique nutritional requirements; work out what’s best for you.
