A Compassionate Easter To Save Our Animal Friends

Well it is that time of year again when the shops are bombarded with milk chocolates, and that is a tough tradition to break! Like the consumerism that takes place at Christmas, the supermarkets are buzzing with everyone scrambling to buy Easter eggs for their children, families and friends. And yes it is nice to receive chocolates from loved ones, but not so great for the cows whose calf milk is being taken from them...and not

to mention their babies, their calves being taken from them after 3 weeks. I caught a snippet of news this morning where the media were marvelling at a squirrel who could do amazing tricks....last night there was a documentary where a leopard miraculously nurtured an infant babboon after killing his mother......rabbits have alerted their caretakers to a fire, and birds have made the news by pulling their injured friends off highways, and yet we continue to ignore our intensely farmed animal friends who have crisis every day of their lives! Never will you see in the media a cow crying and moaning for weeks on end after their calf has been taken away from them! Never will you see on the news a male calf chained in a stall so as it cannot move to keep the veal tender! Never will you see the dairy cow who is of no use any more put on a truck to go to the abboitoirs!

So on a lighter note, deep sigh, I have found some fantastic vegan chocolates on the Sunshine Coast.For all of the chocolate addicts out there, I have come across a new Australian Vegan business, Eden's Chocolate, and they make THE BEST vegan chocolate! It's so good that an Aussie company is making such lush chocolate and we should support them!

They're all hand made and they use recycled packaging as much as possible. Good value too.
They are a small family company with no website as yet as they are testing the waters first for demand.

I ordered the white chocolate krunchies which was sooooo moorish. They make all special orders on request. These chocolates are beautiful I am telling you! I am a chocolate expert!!
