Kindness
Vegan Era  Hallo Readers, if you are out there...I bought a book and it arrived by post today - "The Kind Diet" by actress Alicia Silverstone! I sat by the creek this afternoon with my dog Odie busy diving for sticks and jotted some more facts to share with you...after this I will share a recipe that does not involve any of the below facts....I apologise if they are upsetting to you, vegan or not....we are all good people...we all love animals...we have just had the luxury of not
seeing the cruelty that goes on behind closed walls.....that is all....

- Abboitor workers can kill up to 330 animals per hour
- During the killing, all kinds of intestinal bacteria splatter on the meat
- When an animal is led to slaughter, the adrenaline and stress hormones coursing through her/her veins get passed onto the dinner plate in a toxic form
- Meat is full of hormones as cattle, pigs and chickens are routinely pumped to promote muscle mass, and these hormones are passed directly onto you
- Eggs are also chockfull of hormones
- Meat takes 3 days to pass through your intestines where it rots and putrefies during this process
- When you eat meat, you are simply eating fear, anger and cruelty

It is the abboitoir scenes that really break my heart, and I really believe that if everyone just sat down and gave this subject some thought after seeing inside an abboitoir and factory farming shed, or saw the separation of mothers and calves, or the debeaking process of a beautiful chicken, or saw the fear in the animals eyes as they smell death ahead of them, they would gladly buy a vegan cookbook and change their shopping cart! It is a learning curve, but a compassionate and conscious one!

I only write here because I love animals, and I love you, and I dream of a peaceful happy planet for our next generations to come...for humans and for animals!

I made this new recipe last night! It was really good!

Vegan Sausage Pasta Bake

Cook up 500 grams of penne pasta ( I tried gluten free one for a change....very nice)

Really bash up some garlic and basil leaves and a pinch of salt in a mortar and pestle, add 3 table spoons of olive oil and brush over .....
1/4 Organic pumpkin into small cubes
Med sized Organic sweet potato in small cubes
Cut up your favourite green veggie (asparagus would go nicely in here) and keep aside
Sun dried tomato and olive sausages from Sanitarium cut up
Add your own favourite vegetable you like to see in pasta......eg...eggplant, broccoli, cauliflower, if you don't fancy the pumpkin and sweet potato.
Bake in the oven on 200c for 45 minutes

Mix cooked veggies and cooked pasta together in an oven dish, add in asparagus spears now and pour over a neopolitana sauce and bake in the oven for a further 20 minues

Make some garlic bread to go with your pasta meal, and enjoy xo
