Five Loaves Mobil Soup Kitchen - Darcy Goodwin

For the past 17 years Darcy Goodwin has single-handedly operated a mobile soup kitchen from his van in the Northern Rivers region of northern New South Wales, Australia, providing free, regular, vegetarian meals for all in need.
At the ripe age of 80, Darcy has been a vegetarian for over 75 years and is in robust enough health to provide his services to neighboring towns in his district every 6-and-a-1/2 days a week, 52 weeks a year. The half day he’s not serving he uses to prepare for the coming week! Darcy’s days are mostly spent collecting food contributions of over-ripe and day-old food from local fruit shops and bakeries, preparing food, traveling to places then setting up, serving food, and dismantling his mobile kitchen. He also personally delivers food parcels and furniture to the destitute in more remote regions.

Soi Dog Foundation (SDF) is a not-for-profit, legally registered charitable organization in Thailand, Australia and Holland. Soi Dog helps the homeless, neglected and abused dogs and cats of Thailand.
Soi Dog is made up of people like yourself, be they financial supporters, field or shelter volunteers, fundraisers etc. with a common goal of helping neglected and abused dogs & cats.

The Green Earth Group

Is a not-for-profit environmental awareness group who aim to promote a better way of living – for us, for our animal friends and for our planet.
Green Earth Group is a group of like-minded people who aim to raise awareness to the environmental problems we are currently facing and to provide simple but effective ways in which every individual can make a positive change.

Seeing the potential for educating and inspiring others to the environmental and cruelty-free lifestyle in Brisbane, Leigh-Chantelle started the Green Earth Group with a group of like-minded friends. One of the ways the Green Earth Group is aiming to educate the mainstream to all things green, sustainable and cruelty-free is via Green Earth Day (previously Green Earth Festival 2010) in March 2011.

The Green Earth Day will encourage people to make simple changes in their everyday lives to help our environment and the world we leave for generations to come. Green Earth Day aims to empower the community and the people within it to become more aware, more informed and thus more able to take action to implement the basic changes we need to help our planet.

Was established in 1979 with the primary aim of providing temporary refuge and eventually new homes for abandoned, abused, stray and unwanted cats and dogs.
The Refuge is an independent, non-profit, non-government funded, charitable organisation run primarily by volunteers. The Refuge has a strict non-euthanasia policy.
